How to create token with kalp DLT

This guide will walk you through the process of creating your own digital tokens using the Kalp DLT within the Kalp Studio platform. Kalp Studio provides an easy-to-use interface for developers and creators to get started with their digital assets.

Prerequisites

  • A valid Kalp Studio Account.

  • A connected Kalp DLT wallet.

  • An active subscription for Token Studio, API Gateway and Kalp Instant Deployer

Step 1: Access Token Studio

  1. Log in to your Kalp Studio account. You will be directed to your Dashboard.

  1. Locate the Token Studio card in the "Our Products" section.

  1. Click the EXPLORE button within the Token Studio card. This will direct you to the Token Studio dashboard.

  2. Select your Plan out of the given three options.

  3. Subscribe to the plan.

  1. Your subscriptions will be visible on the billing section. You have an option to upgrade your current subscription is visible on the billing section. You have an option to upgrade your current subscription.

  2. Once subscribed, you can explore the product.

Step 2: Begin Creating a Token

  1. Within the Token Studio dashboard, you'll see a section labeled Create a New Token.

  2. Click on the + Create New Token button.

  3. If your wallet is not connected, the system will prompt you to connect one.

Step 3: Connect Your Wallet

  1. You'll see a Connect Wallet popup.

  2. Click on the + Connect Wallet button located on the top right corner of the page.

  1. You will be presented with a list of wallet options.

  2. Select KALP DLT. This will ensure your tokens are associated with your specific Kalp DLT wallet.

  1. Once the wallet is connected, the wallet address will be visible.

Step 4: Enter Token Details

  1. The Create Token form will appear.

  2. Fill in the required fields with the following:

  3. Name: Give your token a name

  4. Symbol: Choose a short ticker symbol

  5. Type: Select Type (Fungible or Non-Fungible)

  6. Decimals: Enter a decimal value for your token.

  7. Description: Provide a description for your token.

  8. Icon Image: Upload a suitable icon for your token

  9. Token Initial Supply: Determine the number of tokens initially minted.

  10. Token Maximum Supply: Define the maximum number of tokens that can exist in the supply.

  11. Owner Wallet Address: This will automatically be populated with the address of the connected wallet.

  12. Features: Choose the token features you want to use from the dropdown.

  13. Once you have filled in all details, click the Create Token button.

Step 5: Confirm Token Details

  1. A Confirm Details modal will appear, displaying all your token's information.

  2. Carefully review the details to ensure all information is accurate.

  3. Click Continue to proceed.

Step 6: Token Creation Confirmation

  1. Upon successful creation, you will receive a Token created successfully confirmation message.

  2. The new token will now be created within your Kalp DLT wallet.

Step 7: View Created Token

  1. Navigate to List of Token Created tab from the navigation menu on the left.

  2. You will see the newly created token pending.

If you are on a limited tier plan, you may encounter a message at the top saying "You've reached the limit for creating tokens on your current plan".
