How to Connect Dapp?
The world of decentralized applications (DApps) is rapidly expanding, offering innovative services and experiences built on blockchain technology. To interact with these DApps, you need a secure and reliable digital wallet. This guide provides a step-by-step tutorial on how to connect your KALP Studio Wallet to a DApp, enabling you to seamlessly participate in the Web3 ecosystem.
Prerequisites:
-
A KALP Studio Wallet app installed on your device.
-
The DApp you wish to connect to.
Step 1: Open the KALP Studio Wallet App
Launch the KALP Studio Wallet application on your smartphone. You should see your wallet's main screen displaying your current balance and address.
Step 2: Access Wallet Settings
Tap the icon representing your profile (a person icon), usually located in the top left corner. This will open a menu. Select "Settings" (represented by a gear icon).
Step 3: Navigate to Connected DApps
In the Settings menu, find the option "Connected DApps" and tap on it. This will display a list of currently connected DApps (if any) and an option to add a new one.
Step 4: Link a New DApp
Tap the "+ Link New DApp" button. This will initiate the connection process.
Step 5: Select DLT
You'll be presented with a list of wallets you can use to connect to the DApp (This step will only be seen if you have multiple wallets configured.). Select KALP DLT from the list.
Step 6: Scan the QR Code
You'll then see a QR code displayed on the screen. Open the KALP Studio Wallet app’s QR code scanner (usually found through a "Scan" icon within the app menu) and point your device's camera at the QR code displayed on your screen. Alternatively, if the DApp offers a non-QR connection method (such as through a direct URL connection in the DApp's settings), follow those instructions.
Step 7: Approve the Request
Once the QR code is scanned, the KALP Studio Wallet app will display an "Approve Request" screen. This screen will show the DApp's name, its URL, and the permissions it's requesting. Carefully review these permissions. If you are comfortable with the permissions, tap "Connect". If not, tap "Reject".
Step 8: Confirmation
After successful connection, the app will display a confirmation message ("DApp Connected Successfully"). You can then return to the "Connected DApps" screen and see the newly connected DApp listed.
Step 9: Return to DApp
Close the KALP Studio Wallet app and return to the KALP Studio console. You should now be logged in and ready to use the DApp. The console will display the user's wallet address.
Connecting your KALP Studio Wallet to decentralized applications (DApps) opens up a world of opportunities in the Web3 space. By following the steps outlined in this guide, you can securely and efficiently interact with various DApps, accessing their unique features and services.
